I sketched this hyacinth for a study of a low horizon. I suppose a low horizon puts the subject on the back of the table and closer to the wall. Maybe I’ll learn more when I sketch the same subject with a mid-horizon.

I stood about five feet away. From that distance, I couldn’t really see the flowers; so, I just sketched an impression.

I made a mistake framing the image. I considered the height of the vase, but not the hyacinth. Duh.
