I sketched this for a symmetry study. I posed a pestle, mortar, and garlic on the table in front of me. Then, I moved the pestle at an angle that made it about the same height on paper as the garlic.
I don’t know what to think of the sketch. Perhaps these are the wrong objects for symmetry in an image. There should be a reason to show a symmetrical image: for example, two equally matched boxers face off and either could win.
