
I continued the previous exercise where I translated some of my earlier subjects into gesture drawings within two minutes. It was fun to see what I would produce when I was just trying to capture the subject within the time limit and couldn’t erase any lines.









During the exercise, I realized I had forgotten how to use an ink brush and had to relearn. My method is to dip the brush in water, blot, dip the tip in ink, blot to make a point, and then draw. I’m not sure if that is the textbook way to do it, but it creates nice lines when I’m not rushing.
